All new Hair Extension clients will require a NON-REFUNDABLE RETAINER retainer to secure an appointment. This amount will be deducted from your total amount on your appointment day. It is transferable if your appointment is rescheduled within the allotted time, but not refundable.

Washing your hair:
  • Use sulfate-free shampoo + conditioner to prolong hair color and the quality of the extensions
  • Shampoo gently between the rows, no need for vigorous scrubbing
  • Use a deep conditioning treatment once per week
  • Use leave-in condition + oil combo after showering and before brushing out your hair with a Wet Brush

Brushing your hair:
  • Brush out extensions with Wet Brush before showering to help prevent tangling and matting - Especially wavy & curly hair.
  • When brushing your hair, start from your ends and work your way up. With one hand, hold your hair in a pony tail and brush with downward strokes.
  • Make sure to separate each row, brush from the bottom and work your way up to the top of the row - it is very important to check each row after drying to ensure you have brushed effectively to avoid matting.
  • Never scrape the brush against the top of the extensions, lightly graze the surface of the hair when brushing close to the top of the row (nearest your scalp)

Drying & Styling:
  • Use good a heat protectant product before heat styling
  • Rough-dry your hair until hair is 90% dry (meaning no tugging at the extensions - using fingers, no brush of any kind). If you get blow outs, make sure they follow the same rules
  • Use a Wet Brush to dry hair starting at the top of the weft and working your way down - pushing the water down and out
  • You can use a Round Brush and a small amount of tension to smooth your hair and the extensions the last few minutes of your blow dry
  • If curling the extensions, run the hair through the iron to smooth hair once or twice, before placing the curls - this will give your hair a more polished look and prevent tangles
  • Limit the amount of heat styling and do not exceed 400 degrees - this will prolong the life of the extension hair
  • Never tease your hair - this. will compromise your extensions

  • Brush your extensions out before bed and place in a loose braid to keep them tangle free
  • NEVER go to bed with wet extensions!

Swimming & Sports:
  • Place hair in a braid or ponytail for all sport activities to prevent knotting
  • Chlorine, salt water & sunscreen may cause variation to color
  • NEVER leave extensions wet with chlorine or salt water
  • Wash hair after water & sun exposure
  • Well water can cause damage to both natural and extension hair due to the minerals and chemicals it contains
  • Use recommended After-sun products to protect hair & prevent damage

  • Products recommended to AVOID: sunscreen, tanning products, purple shampoo, dry shampoo, protein-based products, alcohol in products and hair oil that is not 100% clear
  • After a few washes, the extension hair will expand and take on a more realistic hair texture
  • If you notice any excess tangling or hair shedding please contact me, as these are quick fixes when addressed right away
  • Reapply every 4-8 weeks and replace hair every 6-8 months
  • For new extension applications - If you notice your scalp is sensitive or itchy at first that is okay - your scalp is getting used to the new extensions. Please refrain from scratching or picking, as it can cause damage. If anything hurts or is more uncomfortable than expected itching/sensitivity, please contact us!

After the first 48 Hours: If you experience any stress on your end beads, or anything is uncomfortable, please contact the salon IMMEDIATELY, as we may need to make some adjustments.
